Daryl Hannah Anti-Whaling Trip
Monday, December 1st, 2008 by magenta 0 comments to this post
Daryl Hannah is in Brisbane this week on an anti-whaling mission with the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
The Hollywood activist, and star of the films Splash and Kill Bill, has previously been involved with the anti-whaling movement through the Whaleman Foundation and other organisations.
Hannah will sail on the Steve Irwin, captained by Chris Watson, through Australian waters to intercept and stop a fleet of eight Japanese whaling boats killing humpback, minke and other whales for science.
‘People should stand with people who are fighting the good fight and that is what I’m doing; having solidarity with Sea Shepherd,’ said Hannah.
Daryl Hannah will be on board the Steve Irwin for only part of the anti-whaling trip due to film scheduling.
